Guidelines

  • The studies serve exclusively to provide more transparency for print media on the basis of the 3 pillars quantity, quality and regionalism
  • No question may be prevented, for which financing is secured.
  • New methodological approaches may not be prevented from being applied just because there has never been any prior use made of them before.
  • There can be no change of statute, which would be advantageous only to an individual member or an individual media group.
  • The studies are for the exclusive use of users.
  • Special data, (accessible) through purchase, of so-called “supplemental questionnaires” by members, is only accessible to the purchaser.
  • Should the possible, available resources for question integration into the questionnaires be exhausted and the questionnaire thus be “sold out”, members have prioritized access to capacities which become available, in accordance with their type of membership.
  • Media that hold memberships may pay for temporary enlargements of samples, in order to be able to offer more in-depth possibilities for their sector. They may also pay for special questions that clarify particular qualities of their medium. All special questions and expansions paid for by media are available only to the applicant.
  • The studies serve exclusively to make print-media more transparent. An expansion to include other media groups is only possible in the form of parallel studies, but in no case in the form of a combined study. Each study must be organized so that it is possible to consolidate it with the media analyses commissioned by the Agency.
